Le'Chris relies heavily on our Mentors to carry out much of the Face to Face services that are provided in each of our Le'Chris Offices. Our Mentors are trained and prepared to assist our Consumers, not only in reaching their personal goals, but in developing as people.
Our Mentors communicate with their client and or family to work out a plan that best fits with the needs of the Client and their family structure. It is our hope that every client and family that we serve is able to see exactly where our services are going with those involved.
2 GREAT PROGRAMS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
1. Family Enrichment - Le'Chis has teamed up with Journey and has been offering to our Consumers and their families a wonderful time of fellowship, food and encouragement. This program offers a chance for children to grow and learn with other children and parents to spend some time together being encouraged and prayed for. This program is offered on Thursday nights from 6-7:30 and the light meal is included in the time together.
OUR NEXT SESSION GOES FROM - MAY 22nd - JUNE 26th
2. Summer Challenge - Le'Chris of New Bern, every summer, offers a chance for Mentors and their Consumers to experience a variety of field trips and excursions during the months of June, July & August. Every Tuesday and Thursday this summer we will be traveling around the area to pre-planned locations to take tours, serve others, have fun and grow together. This is a great opportunity for you and your Consumer to do some things that you probably would not do on your own. Every Summer I am amazed at the amount of children who have never been to the places we take them and they love it!!

MENTORS TIP OF THE MONTH...
When working with people it's always a good idea to listen twice as much as you talk. Most of the time people will learn a lot from hearing themselves talk it out, while the Mentor is simply available to listen. This kind of personal discovery will stay with a person much better and far longer then outside explanations.
