The Intensive In-Home program is a family-focused, team-based approach designed to address the needs of children and their families.  Our aim is to keep children and adolescents in their home community through improving behaviors and family interactions.

Le'Chris believes that families have the ability to grow and overcome difficulties, and we see the family as a partner in important issues such as decision making and goal setting.

Intensive In-Home services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  Our Intensive In-Home teams:

• Consist of licensed therapists, Master's level professionals, and Bachelor's level professionals with years of experience
  
• Work as an organized unit to meet the needs of the families that are being served
  
• Work in the home, community, and school to ensure that families' needs are met in each environment
  
• Work with the family and other professionals to develop the treatment plan and provide therapy and case management services

The Intensive In-Home teams use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a foundation for the services that are provided.  This model incorporates the concept that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all influence one another.  Coping skills, relaxation techniques, effective parenting strategies, and working with the entire family are part of what makes this model effective in reducing distress and problematic symptoms.

The goals of Intensive In-Home services are: 

• Reduce mental health and substance use symptoms

• Parenting skills training

• Provide crisis response

• Link the family to community services, supports, and resources

• Advocacy in the case of court

• School attendance and other school-related issues

• Alcohol and drug abuse issues

• Delinquent behaviors such as gangs, violence, etc.

• Collaboration with other community agencies such as the Department of Social Services and the Department of Juvenile Justice

• Anger management

• Blended family issues

• Managing crisis

• Parent/child conflict resolution

• Prevent out-of-home placement
